Heres a thought...
Sometimes u have situations in life where u REALLLLYY really want sumthing..it matters to u a lot. And as much as you want it, there are some of ur absolutely close and true well wishers that try to tell u that ur better off without it...and also tell u that theyd be happier without it. So what do u do in a situation like that??? When u stand up for urself and try to put ur foot down, can it be perceived as selfishness?? And is that even fair in the first place??? Does that mean that ur just being blatantly rude and indifferent to their desires while trying to figure out ur own?? How do u explain that as much as u wish to stand up for wat u want, u also really crave that they be happy cos of u?? Quite a complex situation to handle...chasing ur own dreams vs satisfying others... Its always a difficult thing to choose.
I guess, it will boil down eventually to they being happy if ur absolutely happy with ur decision. But until the time that u can prove to them that u ARE really happy, and until the time that they are convinced...its tuff ..a really tuff journey. And only time as usual will bear answers and justifications to everything done. I guess u jus gota hold on until then...and pray that God gives u an opportunity again to show those ppl that really really matter that they still mean the world to u and that u did not mean to let them down jus cos u stood up for sumthing u wanted.

may be theyre right...! may be theyre wrong...! but when you rode on their backs all your life... you ought to give it to them..! but considering the fact that they really love you... am sure theyll understand and/or deal with it... in their own special ways! lifes too short... think rather than worry... :)
:).....dont know what else to say; the smile was my only reaction; i guess thats the dichotomy of life.
When I stole these furtive glances at my grandmother, half fearing that they were wrong, I saw only a calm lake, whose shores were low, http://www.jouqoech.info/?search=baby+kinderdecke and over which the sky hung unbroken, so that the least star was clearly reflected.. Elder Brown had time to notice all these familiar http://www.jouqoech.info/?search=im+tal points, for the figure at the desk kept serenely at its task, and deigned no reply...
They will understand you for sure dee...Time is the only healing factor..Wishing you the very best in life, Nimmy! :)
i don wanna assume wat "thing" u r talking abt....
well this is wat i think...
consider or approach watevr the thing u wanna possess or stand up for in a long term approach..
if u think u wud not regret for doin this at sometime down the line in life...then stand up for it....
but, if u find out that u r struggling hard now to eventually get into a mess whr u have to struggle again..then its just not worth it....
after all life is to live n by tht i mean havin peace in wat u do...n wat u achieve and wat u have..
n if u have the patience n time...ask those well wishers n reason out for their decision in not acceptin wat u want...
talkin thru wud be the only way to find a solution to many problems...n try to find the actual reason for their disapproval....find it if its a selfish one or really outta concern on u...thr r many times even the most wellwishers can b a little selfcenterd to protect their entity...make sure thts not the case...
hope u find a solution n happines wid wat u get n wat u can have..
good luk :)

Right and wrong are perceptions..If u r happy or sure that u r going to be happy with ur choices, go ahead ..( reached here after some random blog-hopping )
Here's the deal:
Things can screw up either way.
But do what you want.
Not what your near and dear want.
Why ?
Cos if all is well, then all is well. They'll be happy in your happiness.
If all is not good. You are to blame. Not them. You can spare them the guilt of forcing you into what they thought would be good. You learn life lesson.
