Tolerance...

Where does tolerance actually end? When you are tolerant towards people with their differences in caste, color, religion, race, sex, it's good. But suppose somebody makes a racist comment in front of you, although not directly at you, are you still supposed to be tolerant? Does it count as intolerance to open your mouth and say that its wrong/politically incorrect/unethical to say things like that??

Just wondering.. I'm telling myself to let it go and be tolerant of other people's flaws..But am I on the other hand being tolerant of somebody else's intolerance??
If people in Nazi Germany hadn't been so tolerant of one dictator's intolerance, could 60 million people's lives have been saved??

Hmmmm.. where and how does all this figure.. I wonder... :S And where does tolerance actually end??
